TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS

TRAINING

I studied for my BA in Fine Art & Psychology at the University of Reading and I am a student member of the British Psychological Society.

After leaving university, I became a qualified primary teacher and worked in various educational settings, including Special Educational Needs (SEN), for nearly fourteen years.

I have a Master’s Degree in Integrative Arts Psychotherapy from the Institute for Arts and Therapy in Education (IATE). Art Psychotherapy is a fully regulated profession that requires a rigorous training, which includes many years of personal therapy.

I abide by the codes of practice and ethics of my membership organisations, HCPC, BACP, BAAT and BPS. I regularly attend continued professional development training sessions
in order to keep up to date with any relevant developments within art psychotherapy. I consistently meet with my clinical supervisor to monitor and review my work.
