Art Therapy Groups
Surrey Art Therapy offers bespoke collaborations with various local charities, schools and businesses. If you or your organisation require an art therapy group, please do not hesitate to get in contact. It could be a one off group to enable staff training or supervision, or we offer ongoing groups in whatever format you need.

What is an art therapy group?
An art therapy group is designed to facilitate the therapeutic process by using art as a method of exploration and discovery of personal experiences and emotional expression. Often the group dynamics play a part in the healing process for people through their shared experiences and group support. No artistic skills are necessary, simply an open heart and mind.

Groups are facilitated by qualified, HCPC registered Art Psychotherapists and people often find groups a more cost effective way of accessing therapeutic support. Each week, group members will be invited to create a piece of art and share their thoughts and feelings.
Each session will begin with a mindful check in and there will be a theme for the week that will be explored through different mediums including, paint, clay, collage and found imagery.
